I am hesitant to recommend past-life psychics for two reasons: 1) it is very difficult to determine whether or not they are genuine, and 2) because their results are not 100% accurate, it is difficult to decide what part of the information to believe and what part not to believe. This can have serious practical consequences. If you were told you were someone famous, and you believed it, you could develop a burgeoning egoism. If you were told that your husband or wife killed you in a past life, or betrayed you, and it isn't true, it could affect how you feel about them. So psychic readings can be dangerous because of the potential to believe false information, which then causes you to make bad decisions or changes your feelings about someone unfairly. Suppose a psychic incorrectly tells you that in past lives you worked in a certain field and you could excel in that field again. Suppose you quit a good job based on this information to change careers, and it turned out to be a fiasco. These is potential for serious effects leading from inaccuracies in even the best psychic reading.

That being said, I do believe it could be helpful to enable people to see and understand patterns in their current lives.
